I stood outside the doorway
wanting down The trail.
I thought of the box
set out on my desk.
I had not opened it as but.
I stood there emotion the Sunshine
warm steps of new times met my identify.
I had picked bouquets before within the working day
outlined their unspoken satisfaction
set them in vases with branches from trees…
trees I don’t know the name of.
I considered the box
all People elves in folklore and myths.
I thought of the box
ribbons of gold
tape holding it very well sealed
the contents inside
experience most by itself.
I had just returned
the mountains of Africa
had been my pathway.
I fulfilled the stride with optimism
I’d recognized an journey
I’d personally never ever be exactly the same.
What would the many mystical faries say?
I’d not talked about them ahead of
not out loud.
I stand during the doorway
back residence yet again
wondering about them.
Asking yourself about myself
if I might ever have the capacity to sing
all those old tunes once more.
I would often cherish their lyrics
their melody had been my comfort
my confusion at times.
did they understand?
Experienced they been client?
Did they look forward to me?
I had recognized them so nicely
once way back.
My childhood held out for fantasy.
I left them there though
somewhere on The trail to adulthood.
I prolonged to charm them all over again.
I hope they may accept my fragile guarantee
stated Once i was youthful.
I would normally really like them
remember elves in folklore and myth
see fantasy from the bouquets
climb trees and find out much outside of the grove.
I turned back again towards the contents of the box
it sits beneath a vase of roses
on the table inscribed with Chinese drawings.
I still left my necklace made from seeds there
ordered for remembrance
the mountains of Africa permanently at my simply call.
A book of Rumi
setting a stage for sentiments
I walked Within the area
picked up the box.
I seemed up sensing a presence
and there you stood
holding the ribbons
currently being aware of
what was within.
